ABOUT SEED STONES

HOW SEED STONES BEGAN

Seed Stones began in New Zealand in 2000 by our wonderful founder, the late Wendy Edwards.

Praying with her friend Susan about how they could reach out to others with the love of God, Wendy felt God plant the idea in her mind of painting pictures and writing scripture on stones for people to find.

As fast Seed Stones were faithfully painted, stories began to flood in of how these small stones were encouraging many in big ways, and in some cases even being used in encouraging and transforming lives locally, nationally and even globally.

Over 100,000 stones have been sold in Christian bookstores across New Zealand but even more remarkable and inspiring is that Wendy trained over 200 others in painting the stones, so there could literally be hundreds of thousands of Seed Stones nestled in garden beds and crevices across the globe.

Wendy leaves an incredible legacy of a ‘sower of many seeds’ and we hope to continue the wonderful Seed Stones ministry in many different capacities!

THE BOOK

The Stones Cry Out -The Seed Stone Story

Written by the late Wendy Edwards, Seed Stones Founder

For many of us, gifts we have been born with can lie dormant for years. Sometimes it is out of difficult situations that we recognise opportunities to deploy those gifts. It was out of such circumstances that the Seed Stone Ministry was born. This book traces the beginnings of the ministry in Christchurch, New Zealand over 20 years ago and its development nationwide before expanding world-wide.

The sheer variety of the ways that Seed Stones have been used to promote the Gospel of love will provide a raft of ideas – not only for those who wish to take part in this ministry, but also for others who are seeking creative ways to extend the Kingdom of God through their individual talents.”

The Stones Cry Out is a wonderful collection of inspiring stories of how these small Seed Stones have impacted many in big ways as well as featuring information of how you may get involved too with all the details on how to paint Seed Stones. We hope you’ll join us in sowing seeds of hope!”
